Workshops

No story is the same whether it is news, a feature article, review or profile, therefore structuring a story is essential to keep a reader intrigued.

It’s paramount to have stand out intros and headlines, the article length must be right alongside the style of writing, use of quotes, humour and conclusion of an article. Then it’s a question of finding the best publication for the story and getting a commission from an editor.

From preparation to interview technique, structuring an article, editing, a final draft and pitching a story to an editor, David runs workshops to budding journalists and authors on a one-to-one basis or groups, primary and high school pupils, and university students.
