Biography

David was born and brought up in Leeds. He graduated in Business Studies in London and worked in the computer industry for 17 years selling, training and offering consultancy services on the Apple and PC platforms.

His writing career began by chance two decades ago when his first book, Leeds United Cup Kings 1972, documenting his childhood team’s most iconic success, sold out within months. Dovetailing his IT and writing career, a further five sports books, including two Times ‘top 10’ bestseller titles, were published during the next four years.

Entering the world of journalism professionally in 2002, David is a freelance writer and prolific author. His body of work is factual, entertaining, enlightening and hard hitting if required. From government ministers to sporting heroes, TV reality show personalities, Holocaust survivors and heads of faith… no brief is out of his remit. Always looking for new challenges, David began writing for the world of transportation in 2014. He is also Sports Editor of The Jewish Weekly, pens football and rugby league match reports for newspapers, and provides data for the sports betting industry.

But never far from his thoughts is having his books published and to date 24 sports titles have hit the bookshelves. From biographies to iconic sporting moments his back catalogue is in demand into the digital age.

His latest work, Revie’s unsung Heroes, was published February 2017… and the next is not far from completion!
