Away from writing, David has been a life member of Leeds Cricket And Football Hospital Relays Association since 2004.
Over the years he has commentated on football, rugby league and cricket as the association offers a valuable service for patients in hospital.
Among many notable commentaries, David was on air for Leeds United’s Football League 1 playoff final defeat against Doncaster Rovers at Wembley Stadium in 2008 and United’s triumph over Bristol Rovers at Elland Road to win promotion to The Championship in 2010.
Other headline fixtures included cup clashes against Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road.
Now living in Hertfordshire, David’s association continues as he commentates on Leeds United, Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire County Cricket Club fixtures in London.
