Manchester City Cup Kings 1956
The FA Cup has produced many evocative moments but few have matched Manchester City’s 3-1 triumph over Birmingham City when legendary goalkeeper Bert Trautmann played the latter part of the game with a broken neck. Blues triumph was masterminded by Don Revie who fulfilled the deep-lying centre-forward role to perfection in what became known as the ‘Revie plan’. With reminiscences of the cup run by Trautmann and a number of his teammates the book is limited to 1000 copies and includes a signed certificate by Trautmann.
