Formed in 1919, Leeds United struggled to make an impact in its formative years when prior to the 60s legendary stars included Ernie Hart, Willis Edwards and John Charles. Following Don Revie’s appointment in 1961 as manager Leeds went on to achieve a decade of success winning the Division 1 Championship, FA Cup, League Cup and Fairs Cup. Revie’s aces included the likes of Billy Bremner, Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter and Allan Clarke. After the ‘wilderness years’ of the 1980s, Howard Wilkinson revived the clubs fortunes in the early 90s with another Division 1 title success, before a generation of players led by Harry Kewell and Alan Smith set Europe alight. This collection of over 200 images brings the clubs rich sporting heritage to life.
